What To Bring To The Lake

Thursday Tip
We love our friends and family. We enjoy having them for a visit. We are fortunate to have a group of family and friends that do not come empty handed. We don’t have to have that what to bring conversation with them. You may be a guest on someone's boat or a boat owner and need a checklist of what you or they should bring.
Water..you can never have too much being out on the water.
Ice..again, it’s a must with the heat of the summer.
What you are drinking...the worst thing you can do as a guest is to come empty handed and then drink up the hosts cocktails! Trust me, you will not be invited back.
Snacks.. a must...bring what you like to snack on, that way you won't be disappointed with what the host may have.
Wear shorts not pants..too often I have seen people coming down the dock with pants on. It's hot at the lake, a lot pf people think because it's on the water its cooler; not so. Wear shorts and bring a pair of pants, it may get chilly at night if you are out on the water.
No heels..wear flats..the dock, boat or lake is no place for heels. Wear comfortable, easy walking shoes. Leave those cute shoes at home. It's hard to maneuver down a dock and a boat in heels.
Water shoes...good to have with you if you are getting in the water. The bottom of the lake has rocks and debris. Protect your feet by bringing some water shoes.
Bathing Suit...be sure not to forget this important item.
Phone Charger..with all the pics you will be taking, be sure to bring your phone charger...don’t assume your host will have one.
What the captain drinks...nothing wrong with being a kind and thoughtful guest. Bring what the captain drinks; that’s an easy way to get invited back.
