Fried cream cheese melt dusted with powdered sugar and crispy golden edges

This cream cheese melt is so good. I like to say it taste like a stuffed doughnut. Perfect for a lake day snack. The crisp edges and gooey center will have everyone asking for more.

Ingredients

  • Brioche bread
  • 4–6 caramel squares, melted
  • Philadelphia Honey Pecan Cream Cheese
  • Chopped pecans
  • 1 cup Coffee mate Vanilla Caramel Coffee Creamer
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Vegetable oil, enough for about 1/2-inch depth in the skillet

Instructions

Assemble the Sandwiches

  1. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of brioche bread.
  2. Spread melted caramel over one side of each piece of bread.
  3. Spread the honey pecan cream cheese over the bread.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans over one side.
  5. Place two pieces of bread together to form a sandwich.

Fry the Sandwiches

  1. Pour enough vegetable oil into a skillet to reach about 1/2 inch deep and heat the oil.
  2. Pour the vanilla caramel coffee creamer into a shallow bowl.
  3. Quickly dip both sides of each sandwich into the creamer. Don't let the bread soak for too long.
  4. Carefully place the sandwich into the hot oil.
  5. Fry until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until golden.
  6. Transfer the finished sandwiches to a wire rack to drain and cool slightly.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Enjoy them by themselves or serve warm with your favorite ice cream.
