Japanese BBQ Shrimp & Salmon Over Ginger Rice

This Salmon and Shrimp over Ginger Rice is a flavorful fusion dish that’s both elegant and satisfying. Fresh, plump shrimp and tender salmon are cooked with savory mushrooms and a rich Japanese BBQ glaze that adds a smoky-sweet umami depth. Served over fragrant ginger-infused rice and topped with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added texture, this dish is a perfect balance of bold flavors and comforting warmth. It’s an ideal choice for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion when you want to impress with minimal effort.

Ingredients

1 lb Salmon (cleaned.skin removed and cut into chunks)

1 lb Shrimp (clean and shells removed)

5 Tbsp Butter

5 Tbsp Olive Oil

1 Package Whole Fresh Mushrooms (quartered)

1/2 Onion (diced)

With Love All Purpose Seasoning

3 Tbsp Garlic

Kinders Japanese BBQ Seasoning

Kinders Japanese BBQ Glaze

4 Cups Chicken Broth

4 Quarter sized pieces of Ginger

2 Cups White Rice

Sesame Seeds

Scallions (2 Sprigs)


Steps to prepare

Add 3 Tbsp Butter and Olive Oil to the pan

Saute Salmon(sprinkle with seasonings add tsp of garlic ) for about 6 minutes or until done (internal temp 145)

Remove from the pan and add the shrimp (add more butter and oil if needed)

Saute shrimp(sprinkle with seasoningsadd tsp of garlic  ) until done (about 3 minutes per side)

Remove shrimp from the pan and Add the onions and mushrooms

Pour about 2 Tbsp of Kinders BBQ Glaze over and a Tbsp of butter

Saute until veggies begin to soften

Remove from pan

Add rice and stir in pan for a couple of minutes

Add chicken broth, ginger and a Tbsp of garlic

Bring to a boil Cover and Simmer until rice is done, according to package directions.

Once done remove ginger

Add rice to plate or bowl

Top with mushrooms and onions

Top with Shrimp and Salmon

Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions

Squeeze glaze over
